What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki can do no 'harm', and always works for our highest good. Reiki healing can be done in-person as well as via distance.
Is Reiki a substitute for medicine?
No. Reiki is a complimentary healing system. No practitioner will ever encourage to replace medical treatment with Reiki. Reiki can be combined with medical treatment to make recovery faster. Reiki works in harmony with other healing modalities too.
What can a Reiki Healing Session do?
A Reiki Healing Session can help people in many ways, both physically and emotionally. It does this principally by balancing and replenishing energy in the body. It also works to clear (energetic) blockages that stifle the free flow of energy in our system.
When our energy is high and balanced our body can more easily heal itself of physical and emotional issues.
Common benefits of a session might include but it not limited to:
A feeling of deep relaxation;
A sense of overall wellbeing – even for people who come for emotional issues;
An improvement in a physical condition or illness;
Insight and clarity into issues you are working on and;
an increase in energy.
How many Sessions will I need?
Sessions required totally depends on the reason of treatment and client’s ability to respond to Reiki. Each individual responds differently to Reiki treatment. Some problems may need couple of sessions, some may need more and some even takes months to heal. Length of the Reiki session totally depends on root cause of the problem as Reiki heals a person as a whole: body, mind, emotions and soul. Every Reiki practitioner uses different techniques for healing hence duration of sessions may vary from practitioner to practitioner. After couple of sessions, healer and client both will get the idea about how the client is responding to Reiki.
